Philosophy – IBO is built upon the word interchange which means the act of mutually giving and receiving.

Meetings – IBO members meet weekly with the purpose of developing trustworthy relationships. As a result, this creates the ideal prerequisite for exchanging reliable leads and referrals which will grow business exponentially.

Relationships – Working with honorable business professionals is of primary importance to the IBO team. Each IBO member candidate goes through a vigorous interview process to ensure he or she has integrity, is motivated and committed to the IBO philosophy of doing business.

Web Marketing – All Of IBO members are promoted on the IBO website. Constant updating & optimization helps get each member more web presence. IBO’s Yellow Pages promotes memebers throughout the IBO teams & the local community with the goal of increasing business for members.

Networking Events – IBO has networking events throughout the year. These events give prospective members the chance to meet IBO members in a social networking environment. Each person at the event has the ability to interact and build business relationships.

Referrals – Qualified leads ensure a better probability of closing business. Each member understands the importance of supplying leads which have been qualified to fit the business potential of the member receiving the lead.

Business Development – IBO is more than a networking group. Each meeting consists of a business development section to help members constantly find ways to improve their business practices.

Director Of Team Development

Maria joined IBO and immediately showed her value.  Utilizing her many years of knowledge as an auditor for the Port Authority, Maria helped streamline the on-boarding process.  Quickly establishing herself as a leading force, Maria has taken on the role of “Director of Team Development” where she works closely with teams to help them grow and expand their reach.

Working with start-up teams Maria helps them with best practices to enhance the member’s experience.  Maria shares, “Working for IBO is exciting because I get to go out and guide members in new ways of networking. I really enjoy when members share how they have grown by being part of an IBO team”

Theresa Milana

Team Development Specialist

Theresa Milana joined the IBO FEAST team in the Real Estate Agent seat and immediately showed her passion in helping people find the home of their dreams.  IBO was so impressed with Theresa’s ability to connect with others we wanted her to help prospective members to find the IBO team that will expand their connections.

When not guiding people to the right home Theresa enjoys helping prospective IBO members visit teams where they can build great relationships.  Theresa shares, “I truly love finding people the home of their dreams and working with IBO is giving me the ability to help people connect and build great relationships.  I really enjoy what I do because it is all about helping others.”

 

Howard Riemer (COO)

Business Development Specialist

Starting as an IBO member, Howard experienced firsthand IBO’s approach to networking.  Apon retiring from the bank Howard joined the IBO team where he focused on building IBO Teams from start-up to fully running teams with several members.  His major responsibility was to ensure members understood IBO’s approach to networking. As a business development specialist Howard enhances each member’s experience.

As a true visionary Howard has moved to the role of COO where he helps ensure IBO’s vision is ever expanding.  Howard helps ensure that IBO keeps on the path to success while always looking to ensure the company is keeping to it’s mission.

Tom Gibson

Founder

Tom Gibson is an American Businessman and founder of Interchange Business Organization (IBO), a business development and networking organization.  Tom established IBO in 2006 which is based on Long Island, New York with the notion that businesses can dramatically increase sales through the right connections.  IBO’s focus is on business professionals learning from each other and building trusting relationships versus other networking organizations that focus on referrals and quotas.

Business professionals who join IBO can expect to attend weekly meetings and participate in conversations that go beyond the usual elevator pitch.  Tom developed the Connection Exchange which is about, “Who You Are” where members exchange success stories that highlight their value in bringing success to others.

Described by members as a “true networker”, Tom has grown IBO member’s businesses by understanding their businesses and recognizing opportunities that complement each other.  Networking isn’t just about introducing people it is about introducing the right people. Finding the connections that work is what a true networker does. Tom has been teaching the members of IBO how they can connect their contacts to potential clients and even more rewarding potential referral sources.
